2026 Mathematics Diploma Ceremony

Graduates should arrive by 2:00 P.M., and all guests must be seated at least 10 minutes before the ceremony starts. The ceremony is anticipated to be 60 minutes long, followed by a short reception.

Regardless of the weather plan, the Mathematics Diploma Ceremony will be 60 minutes with an additional 20–30 minutes of informal post-ceremony reception. All graduates and guests are invited to participate in this reception which will be accompanied by light refreshments.

Mathematics Diploma Ceremony (no tickets required): Tickets are not issued/required for the Mathematics Diploma Ceremony. Each graduate may bring up to 4 guests so that each graduate has an equitable opportunity for family and friends to attend. Please reach out to Malvika Rajagopal (geg7jw@virginia.edu) if you would like to bring additional guests to the ceremony (over 4) to make sure there will be enough seating.

All students receive a commemorative scroll featuring the Rotunda during the ceremony. Official diplomas are mailed to graduates (or have already been mailed for August/December graduates).
