The Simons Foundation Dissertation Fellowship supports outstanding mathematics graduate students in their final year of PhD studies. This inaugural program selected fellows who demonstrate exceptional promise in mathematical research.

Felipe’s research interests include algebraic geometry and representation theory. He is working under the supervision of faculty in the UVA Mathematics Department.
